--Hardcover Jane Austin anthology ($2.00) Because it's Jane Austin, for cripe's sake. And I managed to get through three year of Honors English, one year of AP English, and four years of being an English major in a university without reading any (zero, zip, zilcho) of her work. Now's the time.
--Set of matching copper candlesticks with handles ($4.00) Because they remind me of the movie Little Women. Think Joe, clad in a stocking-cap, writing by candlelight.
--14 brass candlesticks ($8.00) I have no idea. But they were all together in a heavy bag of brass, and they were cheap. Besides if there's ever a war, I could melt them down into bullets.
--Set of two rice bowls: ($2.00) Because I liked how delicate they look, how easily broken.
--Matching rice bowl and plate ($2.00) Because I could imagine how exquisite the sushi would look around the edges of the plate with the wasabi in the bowl. That plate alone would be a reason for me to get out of my rut and have a freakin' dinner party.
--Set of three wicker baskets ($3.00) Lemons, limes, and pomegranites.

Start with Emma. I was supposed to read it for a Satire class in college, but I never finished. I was never good with required reading.

Oh Ophelia! How much you've missed!Pride and Prejudice, while a daydream, is the forest for the trees.

Have you seen Emma Thompson's adaptation of Sense and Sensibility???? It is so beautiful.
