Yesterday; Dylan Thomas on the down-low

I decided that yesterday was the day to see the leaves. The weather channel said that rain was on the way, which would likely do away with a lot of the color. Time was of the essence, so we loaded up the mini-van and headed north.

"They die a glorious death," my husband said as the reds and golds enveloped us
(think Secret Garden). I didn't say the obvious, "They do not go gentle into that good night," but I was certainly thinking it. I have to keep some things just for myself.

A day that began as errands transcended into the sublime, and I was happy.
