It IS an armadillo. (: I got it in commemoration of my favorite novel _A Prayer for Owen Meany_, which has an armadillo on the cover. It's an alternating symbol of power/powerlessness (among other things) in the book. I keep on my desk to remind me of the possibility of writing a great novel.
