Picnic, Solitude, Reverence

The idea of raw fish churned my stomach just then, so I asked the man behind the counter to prepare me a vegetable-only platter. He did so quickly, quietly, efficiently. I think I might have made his day when I told him emphatically that he'd made mine. A perfect lap-top lunch. Chopsticks and all, in the driver's seat of my car.

The 'California Roll' typically does not have anything raw in it. Just some cucumber, avocado, and some steamed crab. Yummy! :)

ah...used to do the same kind of lunch when I lived in Florida. Got my platter from Publix. (But I never skipped the fish - my mouth is watering, loooove sushi, can't find it here at all.)
