Write now, right now.
It was in a cranny--no, a nook-- of my car. It must have fallen out of my purse during one of my (very) few Andretti turns. Probably into or out of a fast food place. Don't want to be seen, you know, so soon after resolutions. I didn't realize how manic I was about the damn pen until I couldn't find it. And I didn't want to go out and just buy another one. I wanted that one.

I've been ordering various seed packets to prepare for that pie in the sky that will be my spring garden. Thus far, I've acquired chocolate daisies (the scent of chocolate is strongest in the morning, when I need good things the most), heirloom larkspurs, and "Lady in Red" salvia seeds (attracts hummingbirds). I really don't know what I'm doing, but "blindly" is how I tend accomplish things--the things I actually take time to study tend to seem too complicated to begin. The unseasonably warm winter has led all of my bulbs to surface prematurely, and I'm afraid the little guys won't make it if the cold ever does show up.

More later.

"When the ink hits" Is perfect.
Oh, Calvin. (: I'm sorry to say that that one's not mine. I just downloaded it for the post. But now that you mention it, I should try to take some pictures of my pen.
