A Life Well Spent

I woke up yesterday and went about my daily business making a percolator of coffee, a pot of tea, poached eggs, and English muffins. I rushed about, getting my husband ready for work. Only, he wasn't rushing. It was almost 9 am when I asked, "Shouldn't you be going to your office?"

"Why? It's Saturday."

"It is NOT. It's Friday. Look at the date on my computer," I said.

So he did. It was Saturday. My sleep-in day, gone.

I made the best of it, however, by persuading him to drive me to Blue Ridge to book/wine/antique shop.

We took a mistaken side-trip into North Carolina, the sordid details of which I'll divulge in a later post. ( I need to play with my son before his bedtime and watch Desperate Housewives.)
