Handsome

Yesterday was his third birthday, and to celebrate, we took him to one of those inflatable jumping places. Let me state for the record that he adores this place. The manager, though, armed with a whistle and full of self-importance, well, I'll stop there. Give a short girl a whistle, and she thinks she rules the world. It's like giving a short man a walkie-talkie or a clipboard. (I, myself, am a short person, which give me license to talk about them. Or us. Whatever.) Anyway, he had a good enough time, and he was sorely disappointed when Miss Napoleon-complex closed down the place for a private party.

Then we took him to one of my favorites, Cafe Intermezzo, to let him pick his own slice of birthday cake. We decided on the car ride home that this would be our new family tradition...every year for the rest of his (or our) life, we'll take him to Cafe Intermezzo to pick out his cake. Happy Birthday, little boy.

Looking at the bottom photograph, thinking.....hmmmmmm....Heaven's Waiting Room.

Many years of happiness and good health to the young one.
