Fast, fast.

Only a minute to write. Dad's here--plans change, and Thanksgiving got moved up to August. There's a turkey in my oven and a last minute cornucopia filled with ceramic vegetables on my dining room table. Pretty plates and sharp cutlery. Non-matching linen napkins, but enough of them. Dessert table needs to be organized. Have to cut fresh fruit to add to the chilled Shiraz, and I'm crossing my fingers that it'll all be okay. Ciao!

P.S. While preparing this meal, I had this creepy-crawly feeling that I'd forgotten something. Something important. "When is your parent's anniversary?!" I asked my husband suddenly. I knew that it was in August, but I thought it was later in the month. After a quick phone call to his sister, he discovered that it was LAST week. So on a dime and a prayer, I also put an anniversary "dessert party" in motion.

Should have titled it "Pronto, Pronto" -- that place sounds so good right about now.
