I could go put away those three laundry baskets full of clothes, but then what ever would I do tomorrow? ( :
Here's what I did today:
Before:
After:
There's so much more I want to do in there, but this seems like a good start. The only bad thing is that his room looks like the "before" at least twice a day. Call me Mama Sisyphus.

So I was talking excitedly to my friend about finding out about www.dailylit.com. (It's designed for smart slackers like me who have trouble fitting literature into their everyday lives. The website sends you just a page a day of your chosen book right to your e-mail inbox.) I told her how happy I was to be reading The Secret Garden again, one of my favorite childhood books.
"So how many pages does Secret Garden actually have?" she asked. "Isn't it going to take you about six months to read it?"
And my witty reply: Umm. Oh, yeah. (:

4 Things not left unsaid:
I love The Secret Garden, and I try to read it once a year, along with The Enchanted Castle, Pride and Prejudice, and Rebecca, books that just never grow old. I know you would love the movie version, circa 1993, with Kate Maberly as Mary. The giant scroll-work skeleton key is something I crave and have always wanted to find in an antique store, out of the blue.
It's funny that you should mention that version in particular...my husband bought it for me a few weeks ago. I swear that I'm going to save up for AS LONG AS IT TAKES to have that carved wooden bed commissioned! And the tapestries...! And yes, the skeleton key...
Yes the bed is wicked! And your watching "A Room" and Mr. Beebe made me miss my blog. So I reincarnated it.
Judging by the movement of the sun in these two pics it took you...1.5 hours to clean the room? By the wya, that's completly arbitrary guess...I just like to pretend that I can tell time by looking at the sun.
I'm digging the blog. If I can't live in a less congested place I can at least live vicariously through you.
